Summer Solstice Clay Ritual
June 21st
18:30 -21:00
On the longest day of the year, we gather in ceremony with clay, nature, fire, and shared intention. This workshop is an invitation to slow down, create with your hands, and honour the turning of the season through ritual making.
Each participant is invited to bring a small natural object carrying personal meaning: flowers, stones, shells, leaves, feathers, seed pods, or other found treasures from the landscape.
These objects will be pressed into clay to create personal ceremonial dishes and offering vessels, holding the textures and memories of the natural world.
Together, we will also create a collective ceramic relief inspired by themes of rebirth, transformation, and the returning sun. Participants will contribute pieces of clay to a shared symbolic composition that may include serpents shedding skin, stars, solar imagery, blooming forms, nature spirits, and other archetypal symbols of renewal.
The evening will include ceremonial cacao, quiet reflection, music, and communal creation in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.
No previous experience with ceramics is needed. The focus is not on perfection, but on presence, intuition, symbolism, and connection.
After the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to return to glaze and fire their pieces.
