Membership at MÓR

MÓR is a shared ceramics studio in downtown Reykjavík. We offer a limited number of memberships for independent makers who have some experience working with clay.

Becoming a member means access to a peaceful, supportive space where you can work on your own projects at your own pace—alongside others who love clay, too.

What’s Included

  • 24/7 access to the studio through Hafnar.haus
  • Your own storage space for tools, clay, and glazes
  • Use of shared spaces and equipment: wheels, worktables, reclaim station, glaze room, and kilns
  • Discounted firing rates
  • Access to Hafnar.haus benefits (meeting rooms, events, free coffee, affordable lunches, etc.)

Requirements

To join, you’ll need:

  • Basic knowledge of ceramics (either from taking a course at MÓR or experience elsewhere)
  • A short conversation with the studio manager to make sure it’s a good fit
  • To sign a membership agreement and follow our studio guidelines

We ask all members to take part in caring for the space, including cleaning rotations and monthly check-ins.

Costs

Membership includes:

  • Studio fee (30.000 kr/month)
  • Hafnar.haus fee (currently 5.500 kr/month)
  • Discounted firing fees based on volume

Clay and personal glazes are not included. Members currently purchase materials at Glit (Krókháls 110).
