Ceramics Beginner's Course - September 2025

During the beginner's course, participants get to know the main elements of clay as well as the methods of pottery. The aim of the course is for the participants to discover clay and its possibilities. There are 10 available places in each course.

The courses are held between 19:30 - 21:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 9 - September 30 in FLÆÐI at Tryggvagata 17. These will be 7 evening sessions, and the possibility to come on weekends at a certain time to work on your own work in the second part of the month.
Included is the following: 7 sessions (approx. 2-2.5 hours), clay, tools, try out the wheel, glazes, firing, teaching, and guidance.

Antonía Berg emphasises curiosity in her work in the hope of encouraging people to use and work with materials from their local environment and thus expand their horizons. The beginner's course creates a good basis for learning the main methods in pottery making, as well as offering creative and warm evenings working with your hands.
