Kiln Hire for Non-Members

We offer limited kiln space for outside makers who need to fire their work. Our Cerama front-loading kiln is available for standard bisque and glaze firings.

Pricing

• 2,500 ISK for half a shelf

• 15,000 ISK to rent the full kiln
  (Larger pieces may be charged for more shelf space.)

Conditions

• MÓR packs and unpacks the kiln—we decide the most efficient way to load based on your work.

• We always aim to pack carefully and efficiently, but cannot guarantee exact shelf allocation in shared firings.

• We’re happy to discuss firing requirements such as temperature, soak time, etc.

Glaze Safety
If your piece has glaze on the bottom, you are responsible for using stilts or a bisque-fired platter to protect the shelves. You can buy stilts at Glit or provide your own.

Important

• We reserve the right to refuse work if we believe it could damage the kiln.

• If damage occurs (e.g. glaze runs or explosions), you’ll be charged for the repair or replacement of affected parts.

• Unless you rent the full kiln or have an urgent deadline, we wait until the kiln is full to fire, to keep things efficient and sustainable.
